The judges of the Court of Assizes of Brescia have acquitted all five defendants for the massacre of Piazza della Loggia of May 28, 1974 that left eight dead and more than 100feriti. The
asoluzione was decided on the basis of Article 530 paragraph 2.
After their indictment, the prosecutor Robert Martin and Francis Piantoni had requested a life sentence for former Delphi ordinovisti Venetian Zorzi, Carlo Maria Maggi, the former secret service employee Maurizio sunset and the Carabinieri General Francesco Delfino. It was instead sought absolution for the former secretary MSI Pino Rauti.
